WHAT WAS LOST IS FOUND.

IF ANY OF THE FOLLOWING ITEMS WERE CONSIGNED BY YOU
TO CAMELBACK CONSIGN & DESIGN - and MICHAEL BURNS -

You read it here... second. Norm Woodmansee, a central Phoenix businessman, is openly and publicly flouting his own self-interest by voluntarily returning items he received as partial payment from Mike Burns (aka the Consignment Vampire) to the folks those items were stolen from!

OK, so maybe - I don't really know - Mr. Woodmansee isn't the very first person to have taken this remarkable and dramatic step. But even if he wasn't the first, he is surely in the vanguard of Burns clients with so much integrity, it hurts. Right along with Don Davis, of Paradise Valley, and Joe Michaels, the art picker, resident of the Phoenix Historic District.

Make no mistake, this man is taking a loss so that others don't have to. That's a pretty tough act to follow. But I sure would like to see others try! How 'bout you?
Needless to say, anyone else in a similar situation should feel free to contact me. My blog is at your service!
And I'm sure it can't be all that easy to do. Otherwise, well, wouldn't there be would a lot more stories like this one in the news?

Some weeks ago, Mr. Woodmansee, as reported in the Arizona Republic, notified the McCleve family that he had and was ready to return two of their large, stone gargoyles, each weighing about 400 lbs.

Now,  Mr. Woodmansee has made available photos - shown above - of other items he received from the Camelback Vampire. The details of his transaction are discussed, in part, in an earlier blog post:

Frankly, I always find stories about folks with integrity invigorating and refreshing.  Makes me think that maybe things will turn all right despite my fears and apprehensions... thanks to those angels in training scattered among us.
