In 2013, Mike Burns lost every single civil claim that was brought against him in Maricopa County. In each case, per court records, he represented himself.
In multiple conversations with me, Mike has threatened to sic his lawyers on me. Most recently, in a phone message to my cell phone, just this month. Looks like I don't have much to worry about should I decide to take him up on the offer.
In any case, either his record as an attorney suggests either that his financial state is precarious or that his case was so weak, it wasn't worth the cost of a good legal representation.
The real surprise is that he actually paid at least two of the judgments in full, including the plaintiffs' attorney fees and filing costs. Maybe that's why he won't or can't pay me the nearly $21,000 I am owed.
